Mobilis has exploited the flexibility of its core Mobiva platforms and Eclipse Intelligent Network to develop a range of interesting VAS Applications. The following list is a selection of what is available. Each of these applications is ready to be further customised to meet the particular needs of Carriers.

  • Mobiva Roamer WelcomeM-WEL
    Description:
    Roamer Welcome is a combined monitoring and SMS delivery application that enables mobile operators to send a range of targeted and personalized SMS messages to in-bound and out-bound roaming subscribers.
    Value:
    Positions the Operator as a preferred roaming option for in-bound roamers.
  • Mobiva BroadcastM-SMB
    Description:
    The SMS Broadcast application provides an Operator with an interface to send broadcast messages out to subscribers.
    Value:
    This is a simple and effective tool for an operator to communicate with its entire customer base to inform them of new services, network reports and promotional offers.
  • Mobiva MisscallM-MCA
    Description:
    The SMS Missed Call Alert application sends a subscriber an SMS notification of a missed call based on IN triggers.
    Value:
    This service ensures that most incomplete calls have more chance of being attempted again, capturing potentially lost revenue. Missed call alert trigger the receiver to re-call the caller, thus attempting to restore the lost revenue.
  • Mobiva CallMeM-CME
    Description:
    The SMS/USSD Please Call Me application utilizes SMS/USSD to request a subscriber calls back the sender of the “please call me” message. This is useful when a subscriber has low airtime credit.
    Value:
    Operators trigger "capable" customers for spending money by allowing zero-balanced customers to communicate with their friends to call them back. The advantage of this service is that it boosts traffic without extra cost. The Operator uses available network resources (signaling) with no additional investment.
  • Mobiva WhereRUM-WRU
    Description:
    This service provides the ability for Customer A to send a text requesting the whereabouts of customer B. The system will send back to Customer A the Cell Location where Customer B was last found.
    Value:
    This is a simple SMS service that helps you find your friends. It is an interesting service that can see an operator penetrate what can be a rather controversial monitoring space. This service is also useful for corporate organizations to determine the whereabouts of their employees (sales peoples, drivers etc). There is good sales leverage in the sale to police, government or large fleet companies.
  • Mobiva SelfHelpM-CSP
    Description:
    Using USSD or a web-based portal, Customer Self Provisioning allows customers to enable new Operator services and offerings without the intervention of Operator CSRs.
    Value:
    Customer Self Provisioning increases the subscriber deployment of Operator offerings, improves customer satisfaction and decreases customer care bottlenecks.

    Description:
    The SMS Customer Care is a useful Push/Pull SMS application that receives subscriber support enquiries to help avoid IVR congestion.
    Value:
    Operators have a higher capacity to take waves of calls or queries, particularly when new services are introduced. SMS Customer Care reduces bottle-necks and congestion, saving network resources for more revenue generating activities.

    Description:
    The SMS Threshold Selector application allows the user to send a text and choose his own monthly threshold.

    Description:
    Dedicate birthdays, Ramadan, New Year, Valentine’s Day greetings to family and friends. Record a greeting and dedicate a song. Recipient is notified via SMS to retrieve their greeting.

    A simple service that offers promotional opportunities and further entertainment to the customer base.

    Description:
    The SMS News, Jokes, Horoscopes Feeds is a fun Push/Pull SMS application that sends informations to subscribers; they can then request further SMS elaboration on those items.
    Value:
    An SMS Service that helps the Operator increase subscriber stickiness by keeping them hooked on SMS feeds feeds.

    Description:
    The SMS Love Meter is a fun application that provides a Push/Pull measure of the “Love Percentage” between two provided names.

    Description:
    The SMS Voting System application utilizes IVR and SMS to manage subscriber voting for promotions and the like.

    Description:
    This application allows the subscirber to send SMSs to TV shows.
    Value:
    The Operator act as a gateway between the customer-base and the TV world. This increases traffic and puts the operator in front of the media world.

    Description:
    The SMS 2 Email application allows a subscriber to use SMS to send a message directly to an email address via a short number.
    Value:
    If the Operator offers no BlackBerry or Data service, the SMS remains the most convenient gateway for the Operator’s customers to be in touch with the outside world of emails, without the need to have GPRS services. This service ensures the stickiness of the business customer segment.
  • Mobiva Email2SMSM-EM2
    Description:
    The Email 2 SMS application will forward a subscriber’s emails to their phone via SMS.
    Value:
    Again this is a quick substitute of Blackberry and Data services for Operators that do not offer these services. Business customers (or all customers) can receive an SMS to notify them of the email they have received.

    Description:
    The Web 2 SMS application provides a web portal to send SMSs.
    Value:
    This service enhances customer satisfaction and thus customer stickiness as it offers subscribers the freedom to send more SMSs to their friends via the Operator’s website from anywhere in the world.
  • Mobiva Remote ManagementM-RSM
    Description:
    Communicating via SMS or GPRS, Remote Site Management (RSM) maintains an intelligent eye on any and all remote site variables such as fuel levels, generator amperage or voltage and total power. Additionally, RSM can relay all static information such as ON-OFF for air conditioning, doors, fans, lights and any other equipment.

    RSM is the ideal tool for operators wishing to save time and money through utilising telemetry intelligence to monitor remote assets, uncover fraud and leakage and to forecast potential remote site issues.

    Description:
    The SMS Commander application provides an Operator with SMS Push/Pull functionality to interrogate an IN and send commands to collect on-demand SMS statistics.
